Schedule & Pricing

  • When: Weekends (Saturday & Sunday), start time 2:00 PM
  • Units: 3 CEUs per class (max 6 CEUs/day)
  • Price: $8.50 per unit · $25.50 per 3-unit class
  • Format: In-person · English · Wi-Fi provided
  • Transportation: Students are responsible for their own transportation

We offer a rotating lineup of continuing education topics for CNAs. Examples include:

Infection Control HIPAA & Privacy Elder Abuse & Mandated Reporting Nutrition & Hydration Vital Signs Diabetes Management Dementia & Alzheimer’s Safety & Body Mechanics End-of-Life Care Observation & Charting Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA)

Note: RNA is offered as a Continuing Education (CE) course under our CDPH approval (NAC #7118) and is not a separate certification program.

About the Instructor

Instructor headshot: Dr. Cliff Roperez

Dr. Cliff Roperez is the approved CEU instructor for CAL ACE Nursing Academy and a licensed vocational nurse (VN23321). With a doctorate in Business Administration focused on Healthcare Management & Leadership, Dr. Roperez blends regulatory accuracy with real-world clinical training for working nurses.

Registration & Waiver (Required Before Attending)

All students must complete CAL ACE’s Registration & Waiver form before attending classes. The form includes acknowledgment of safety rules, refund/reschedule policy, and an assumption-of-risk/hold-harmless agreement. After submitting, please keep the confirmation email for your records.

Payments & Policies

Payment Methods
  • Stripe (credit/debit) — +3% processing fee paid by student
  • Zelle, cash, or checks accepted
  • Optional: Prepay for 6 CEUs (see button above). Card fees may apply if paying online.
Refunds, Rescheduling & No-Shows

Reschedule Credit (Student-Friendly): If you prepay and cannot attend, you may reschedule once within the same calendar year at no additional cost. Credits are non-transferable and must be used by year-end.

No Refunds After Attendance: Once you attend class and receive a certificate of attendance, refunds are not available.

No-Show Option: If you do not attend a prepaid class and do not notify us in advance, you may choose either (a) a one-time reschedule credit within the same year, or (b) a refund less a $10 administrative fee to cover processing and reserved-seat costs.

To cancel or reschedule, text (408) 256-0763 with your name, email, and the affected date(s).

Classroom & Testing Etiquette
  • Each CEU class may include a quiz (up to 22 multiple-choice items). Students may be asked to peer-review answer sheets; names/phone numbers may be visible for class purposes.
  • Photos may be taken for documentation purposes only.
  • Students may need to sign attendance sheets or re-register onsite; keep a photo of your corrected answer sheet and certificate.
  • Food/drinks allowed; please clean up and reset chairs; avoid spills. Sanitizers are provided.
  • Service animals/guests: If you bring a service animal or family member, you are responsible for their care and supervision at all times.

Compliance & Disclaimers

  • CAL ACE Nursing Academy is a CDPH-approved Continuing Education Provider (NAC #7118). CE approvals remain at the discretion of CDPH and are subject to policy updates.
  • Courses are conducted in English and delivered in-person at the Milpitas location listed above.
  • Important: Attendance at CEU classes does not guarantee renewal of your CNA certificate. The CDPH registry may require reinstatement/reactivation if renewal is unsuccessful, and after two years of lapse you may be required to repeat training or meet additional requirements per CDPH rules.
  • Completion of CEU courses does not guarantee employment, licensure, or certification.
